United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is Recruiting

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), The leading UN organization in Reproductive Health and Population and Development is recruiting for the following position in the Field Office in Abuja.

NATIONAL PROGRAMME OFFICER
Post Level: NOC (ICS 10)
Type of Contract: Fixed Term
Duty Post: Abuja
Duration: 1 year renewal but subject to satisfactory performance.

Qualifications and Experience

Must be a Nigerian (Male or Female)

Possess a Master's degree or PhD in population, sociology, development studies and specialized in gender studies.

Possess professional experience of a minimum of 10 years (Post Graduate) or 5 years (Post PhD) preferably in programme/project management in the public or private sector linked to gender issues.

Have experience in working with government institutions and donor organizations
be familiar with issues on population, reproductive health, gender and youth; and should
have a strong capability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written English.

Have ability to work under pressure

Have excellent communication and human relation skills

Have proficiency in current office software applications is mandatory
